2x the Mono “Video Installation Concert” and my last show for a while …
Hello Friends and Family!
I would like to send out a special invite to you. My band has a show coming up in Hamilton at the Urban Arts Initiative on Sat Feb 16. Whether you’ve seen us before, been meaning to check us out or didn’t even know I was in a band, this event is something unique (that you can read about below). It’s also going to be my last show with 2x the Mono for a while. I started a new masters program this past fall and this past week I had to make a tough decision and pull back from the band for a while. I don’t know how long this will be (2 months, a year and a half?) but I do know that this was the right decision for my family and I at this time. As a band we are extremely proud of the latest EP and are excited to perform it and other material for you as a multidisciplinary experience. That said, not knowing when I will be playing live again, I would love to share this moment with as many of you as possible.
We are really trying to make this a “Community Happening” for all ages, so if you have kids they are more than welcome. If they are under 12 they can come for free.
Also, our EP is available for free or donation right now at our website. Download it so you can sing along or mouth the words quietly to yourself at the show ;)

A new guilty pleasure, “SMASH.”
Unfortunately the one thing that ruins the show for me is this young man’s performance each week …

Did some purging today. Got rid of 90% of our VHS. These two were among my most watched at the end of high school. See you in another life brutha …
Man, this is just too sweet. Thanks ZD and JGL.
